Excellent CW who took meaningful risky fights that everyone wanted to see and beat the best, helping to fix everything that's wrong with boxing. Then ****ed it all up at HW and became part of the problem.
Not quite true even at CW as he never fought Cunningham to unify the titles like he should have. Cunningham was a cut above Mormeck and especially Enzo. His best wins at CW (and probably most valuable career wins overall) are over Mormeck and Fragomeni (he struggled in both fights btw), which is good but not great.
Getting schooled by wlad. Setting the record for fewest punches thrown vs SNV and his fraudy stunt fighting harrison. Bigget hw bum of all time ge was. Harrison i mean I will remeber him has the inactive paper champ that had no heart in the ring and disnt give a **** about his fans and what they wanted
Brilliant cruiserweight, lots of heart, immense power at that weight, very fast, a great talker and, utlimately, not anywhere near as good as a heavyweight. As a heavyweight, he'll go down as the man who brought the buzz back even though he lost in the fight which mattered.
Ultimately, Haye was not good for the Heavyweight division. If you bring the hype without any substance, that only serves to turn people off in the long run.
At this point he will be remembered as a decent cruiserweight who moved up and beat Valuev, who was average. Not much to remember at this point. Had he fought on he could have had a legacy.
