Beat them both. When he could be bothered Bugner was world class.

Sarcasm aside, going down to Bodell, is not all that different to blowing a fight with Funso...

I am with GazOC here though, Mason is a comfortable win, Notice is an easy win.

Ol' Buncey has a lot of time for Aussie Joe though. I see today he has him #2 in his all time British Heavyweights (The Independent)...

    Funso Banjo Rules

At his best i take Bugner to beat them all. But maybe not Proud Kilimanjaro

I thought of that fight as soon I read Horace Notice:lol:

  7. Bugner's perfromace against Ali in their second fight seriously clouded people's judgement and allowed the belief that he was a poor fighter to become widespread.

A viewing of Ali vs Bugner 1 should remind people that this was far from the case.

Bugner held his own, albeit without much to show for it, in one of Heavyweight's most toughest eras and would have certainly been one of the most highly regarded in most others.

Bugner would have got a lot more recognition if he wasn't such a pacifist.

In terms of talent,I rate Bugner as the second best British heavyweight of the last forty years.

    Without a doubt.

Agree. But I think he could always be bothered. Bugner just had one of those cruising, one speed styles that made it look like he wasn't trying at times.
