I know that hand/foot speed, reflexes, movement, etc. decline as a fighter ages. But what about chin, stamina and punching power. Is there are notable drop-off in those areas for say a 40 y/o fighter vs a 30 year old?

I dont think chin declines with age. I think thats more of a wear and tear type of deal. Thats why guys with granite chins like morales get a weak chin at the age of 31. Its not the age its all the damage he took throughout his life.

But what about RJJ? He was hardly ever touched by the time he was 30. Does that validate the notion that his supernatural reflexes were masking a suspect chin all along?

I think so. Or maybe he just got caught with some good shots you know. I dont think chin leaves you until you use it up.
