The reason why I say Duran was a brawler - but probably the best one ever - is because you didn't have to go looking for him, he wasn't difficult to hit, and got by in many fights due to his sheer toughness. Duran was a flat-footed fighter - he could never be described as slick - but was just meaner than most of his opponents and that alone won so many fights for him.

What's wrong about this *******? Foreman during his early career in the 70s was the beast. Take a close look to his fight against Joe Frazier.

This description of Duran is really, really off-base.

Duran was difficult to hit, got by in most of his fights because of his insane skill level, had quick feet, and was indeed a slick fighter.

    :huh

Really, Duran is one of the best ever at blending defense and offense.

In no particular order, but my faves:

    Rocky Gannon
    Arturo Gatti
    Andrew Golota
De La Hoya-I gotta explain this one, but he traded quite a bit in his fights.
    Ike Ibeabuchi

My list is not perfect! I admit that. But its just my opinion. Hearns is a puncher not a brawler I guess.:yep
