The reason why I say Duran was a brawler - but probably the best one ever - is because you didn't have to go looking for him, he wasn't difficult to hit, and got by in many fights due to his sheer toughness. Duran was a flat-footed fighter - he could never be described as slick - but was just meaner than most of his opponents and that alone won so many fights for him.
****ing overrated. He is lucky his Mexican father was drunk and wanted to bust a fat nut in some skank. Most skilled... pfffft
What's wrong about this *******? Foreman during his early career in the 70s was the beast. Take a close look to his fight against Joe Frazier.
1. Jack Dempsey 2. Roberto Duran 3. Rocky Graziano 4.Ricardo Miyorga 5. Pipino Cuevas Honorable mentions to John L. Sullivan, Stanley Ketchel and Lew Jenkins
Duran was difficult to hit, got by in most of his fights because of his insane skill level, had quick feet, and was indeed a slick fighter. :huh
In no particular order, but my faves: Rocky Gannon Arturo Gatti Andrew Golota De La Hoya-I gotta explain this one, but he traded quite a bit in his fights. Ike Ibeabuchi
My list is not perfect! I admit that. But its just my opinion. Hearns is a puncher not a brawler I guess.:yep
