Heffron is going nowhere really based on that performance. Tony Pace looks to be have been extremely hard matched and a better prospect.
quote-Heffron is a KO waiting to happen. Sadly I agree- If your gonna rely on the relentless in-close style that Ronnie has employed in all his fights so far-you cant rely on the speed/skill that RH seems to have- you need good power-which he dosnt seem to have in abundance. sooner or later your gonna get taken out by a strong pucher. When Ronnie turned pro I really thought he could be a huge star/world champ- ATM I dont see him going above domestic level- hope he changes style maybe trainer- soon.
Tony Pace is a MUCH better fighter than he is credited with on paper. His first fight was a six rounder (taken on relatively short notice) against a very good prospect in Joe Hughes, and he made it Hughes' toughest fight to date. Last time out he boxed my fighter, Gareth Piper, and much credit to Tony, he stepped in when the original opponent pulled out and gave Piper an absolute war and pushed it right down to the wire losing by only one point on the ref's scorecard in a very close, hard fight. (And we look forward to the inevitable Welsh derby rematch) He took the Heffron fight at just a few days' notice too, and gave Heffron all he could handle for six rounds -a fighter touted as one of our top prospects. Pace is by no means a "journeyman", he's just being handled very poorly. With the right guidance and managing, he could definitely go on and be a force on the domestic scene.
The only thing that looked good about Heffron was his shape. He is a boring boxer he need to get a lot more movement and stop that silly noise making. Plus waving to mates in the crowd just shows his amature style. His he there for a laugh or is it his career, because I would get that nipped in the bud straight away.
