12 fights enough to have a view on somenoe's talent, I just don't think Degale has it, I do think a change in trainer may help I've never been mad on Mcdonnell, but to me he just seems easy to hit, doesn't have great chin, leaves himself open when throwing combinations, he doesn't strike me as outstanding in any department.

all things he can improve on. apart from the chin thing. but to be honest it isnt a bad chin. he got caught with a decent shot.... he didn't see it coming!

why don't you concentrate on the things he can do....

He has obv shown in this fight that he is better at cutting off the ring from the Groves fight. In his next fight he will probably improve his defense. If his defense doesnt improve by the time he has had 25 odd fights then I could understand the critism, but like I said he has only had 12 fights so he is still learning. Give him chance.

I think change of trainer maybe could tighten his defense right up and be more disciplined but I don't seem him turning out a world class fighter.

    Wilczewski + Stevens = KO round 3 of 12

    Therefore Wilczewski = -9 rounds.

    James DeGale + Wilczewski = Degale + 2 rounds

    (DeGale + 2 rounds) - Wilczewski (-9 rounds) = DeGale -5 rounds.

Therefore Degale = -5 rounds short of being B-level fighter.

An American takes a stab in the dark and gets it wrong

DeGale has many faults, but his chin isnt one of them

DeGales chin is very good....the problem is he gets hit far too often on it.

Look I am not saying Chunky is useless but he is going to get found out - he has HUGE flaws.

If he can't address them he will never be elite it's that simple. My biggest concern is his stamina is is really quiet bad even vs Groves from round 10 onwards he had nothing and in this fight tonight from round 11 he had nothing.

The hype he's getting doesn't warrant his skillset it's that simple.
