Had that fight in the bag...and what does he do? Engages in a war when all he had to do was stay away and box from the outside. Seriously....how ****ing stupid do you have to be to start taking punishment like that when your face is a mess and it could lead to a TKO? Roach can take some of the blame too, as far as I'm concerned. And Demarco ain't ****. He was getting tooled the **** up all fight.
Character won this fight. One fighter had it in abundance, and that just happens to be the same guy you're shitting on. Please die.
I think that if you watch Linares' fights you will see that he takes too many shots to the face. Linares pays the price for relying too much on his power...
That's the point I was making all night as well. Linares simply has no power at all. He never got Demarco's respect and ended up getting walked down and smashed.
I hate clinchers and yet I found myself yelling at him to grab Demarco. I also found it weird that a natural counter puncher like Linares, who's supremely talented at fighting off the back foot, had no concept on how to survive while badly hurt. I would have thought otherwise.
Very good fight, and GREAT round, Round of the year so far, Both Linares and De Marco saved the fight, I don't know what you people are complaining about, you supposed to be Boxing fans(and don't bring up that "boxing is about hitting without being hit s****", Because that's not what makes exiting rounds/fights of the year), Great fight, much respect to both warriors, beautiful slug fest at the end.
He isn't a moron. He fought a perfect fight other than that STUPID hopping around he learned from... It only works when you are eating power pellets. He ran out of gas and DeMarco was finding him more after the blood started gushing. You can't really doubt a man's warrior spirit when he did so many rounds leaking like a faucet.
