If anyone could win fights by KO by lifting someone up in a clinch and dropping them so they injure themselves and can't carry on where would we be? Hopkins' injury came from an act that does not fall within the spirit of boxing. I wouldn't call it a DQ as Dawson didn't intend to foul I don't think, he just pushed Bernard off. But it wasn't a TKO for the reason mentioned - it makes no sense. NC would have been the best call.
i just watched it on you tube and i got to say it was a rugby tackle, it was a no contest for sure, he will get it overturned the ref is a disgrace he was saying no foul no foul, what was it then because it weren't boxing ? and that punk Chad Daswon celebrating it like was a proper ko victory hope Bernard comes back and whoops his ass
I don't see how it can be called a NC. It was either a foul or not a foul. I think it was clearly a foul so I'd say a DQ but I can understand those who say TKO.
NC is only call to be fair, no way was that TKO victory its boxing not JUDO whats next Badr Hari will head kick someone and ref will say tko no foul?? I just cant see how this is a tko victory.
The thing that pissed me off was the referee saying no fault for 30-40 times and tko for 15-20 times, no exageration.

TKO, Bernard quit as he thought he could get a DQ victory by faking injury. He could've continued and chose not to.
:good He took a gamble and lost. If Hopkins was having his way with Dawson, then no way he would've pulled this ****. Hopkins took a way out and Dawson knew it... that's why he says he feels like he's the champion, and rightfully so.
What fricking idiot would think Hopkins was faking it? Dawson hadn't landed a single quality punch, and Hopkins looked fast & strong. Clearly, Pat Russsel was paid off for this travesty, or he would have immediately ruled it a no contest. Fixed fight, end of story. Dawson should lose his license & Russel should go to jail.
