Despite how good George Groves is or how great he will become......

Degale needs Groves more than Groves needs Degale.

Groves is doing everything in his own time, Degale is and will continue to be rushed which will end up being his un-doing.

 

Groves is the better fighter, he's proved that now. But he needs to move upwards. The Smith fight should be a good one as Paul Smith is a great fighter but once Degale moves onwards Groves needs to pick up some decent European and American level fights. I think a world unification bout between the two would be amazing. A rematch before then is not what we need.

 

There is really nothing between DeGale and Groves. You'd think George hammered him the way some folks go on.
I think DeGale had a tough gut check at the weekend. In meantime, Groves is in with DeGales punchbag Paul Smith. Is Groves going to improve because of this fight?

 

I think the smith fight is an important one for Grroves in his learning curve. Offers a different puzzle to solve than say an Anderson.

I would like to see Degale defned his european against Anderson but after his last fight can't see fish eye's putting him in with him under any circumstances!!!
