if he signs to fight martinez that means sergio has agreed to lay down for floyd in exchange for payday...hopefully he wont lay down for him and floyd will keep running away from pac and sergio

he deserves respect if he fights Martinez at Martinez weight and doesn't try to weaken him. Manny and Floyd have the same tactic sometimes. Weaken a good fighter and beat them.

    Of Course!

Just Hope the Fight still happens in real Weight classes and Floyd would not do Pac's(make his opponent to weight drained to death)

This will be Great fight if it happens:good

from all the digging i have done on this SUBJECT
(IE. THIS PROPOSED MATCH UP) IT'S CONCLUESIVE MARTINEZ IS WHO WANTS THE CATCH WEIGHT.

SO WITH THAT TID BIT HE DESERVES (HIM BEING $MAY) EVEN MORE CREDIT CAUSE HE WANTS 2 FIGHT 4 DA 160 STRAP AND SERG WANTS TO FIGHT -155 SO IF HE IS DOSE LOSE HE KEEPS HIS STRAP. ------4 WHAT ITS WORTH------------- MAYBE ONE LAST PAY DAY DEFENDING IT "NOT A 100% SURE Y ITS SO IMPORTANT 2 HIM BUT THAT IS MY ASUMPTION.

Its obvious to anyone who knows anything at about boxing that Mayweather deserves HUGE respect whether he takes the Martinez fight or not.

Whoever beats him will get HUGE love from the boxing world, what seems odd to me is how people try to belittle his place in history and these same people will be heaping praise on whoever beats him.

I really hope he gives Martinez the fight because that will be a GREAT fight for us boxing fans and 154 Lbs would be fair.

I agree with this, but since most people ignore or dismiss the fact that a catchweight will give the smaller fighter an advantage over the naturally bigger fighter, this isn't a valid argument for not giving Mayweather credit for beating a weakened Martinez.

Pacquiao beat a severely dehydrated DLH, made Cotto fight at 145lbs for the 147lbs belt, and made Margarito fight at 150lbs for the 154lbs title, and he got mad respect for those victories. Same criteria should apply to Mayweather's potential catchweight fights.
