Hagler vs Jones

The video wasn't to compare Lacy to Hagler. It was to show how fast a shot to **** Jones is. Add faster hand speed, foots peed, better chin, reflexes, and hard quick combinations and you have prime Jones whipping the **** out of Hagler.

 

When fighters are as close as this in the skill department you have to then look at mental/physical toughness. No-one out toughs Marvin Hagler. I give him the edge because of this.


Im admittedly a huge fan of Haglers.

 

I actually think Jones had quicker hands against Lacy than when he was younger, he also showed an improved inside game or knowledge of.

But it was, against a punchbag.

 

You are joking right? Jones is nowhere near as quick as he was in his prime. I am in complete agreement with you. Roy Jones at his best would beat the Hagler who fought Leonard - in fact, he'd beat him embarassingly easily.

 

RJJ is a stylistic nightmare for Hagler. Too much speed of both hand and foot for Hagler to deal with.

as much as i love hagler reading the four kings books made me love him even more, i just think roy smashes him to bits i really do i dont think any one could compete with roy jones at his peak MR UNSTOPABLE.

 

Jones was a Hugh puncher at middle weight more so then hearns

 

Even if Hagler could take Roys punch, which I do think he could without ever getting KOed because he had an iron chin, I do think Roy is so much bigger and EXPONENTIALLY faster that the punches and over all problem would make Hagler hesitant to walk in, unlike against a fighter like Vito Antefermo for example.

 

Now take those feather-fisted bums out of the video, and replace them with the Marvin Hagler who obliterated Thomas Hearns.
