As I look at boxing websites and see a bunch of names that will never be stars is just makes me shake my Damn head!! The days of Hopkins,Delahoya,Mayweather,Trinidad,Barrera,Morales,Roy Jones,Lennox Lewis,Shane Mosley etc... You get my picture are long gone and there just ain't **** out there to look forward to outside Pacman/MAYWEATHER. KLITCHKOS have the heavyweight div locked down and every other heavyweight SUX ****. As I scroll through the websites there are diff breed of fighters but NONE have star potentialits pretty ****ing SAD.......
Problem is PPV sucks ass, people spend their hard earned money to get entertainment, and to many fight's, especially the main events ends up with some sort of bull**** controversy:-verysad
Who the hell is the real champion these days. We need one bloody belt. The feds need to step in and straighten this mess out. Boxing is dying a slow death and nothing can stop it except some sort of Authority. Lets have UN sanctioned body take over world boxing and relegate the WBC, IBF and WBA to side titles. Only 8 weight classes At least I know the Klitchkos are the real Hvwt champs.
Its very sad ..I mean you got bums like Haye retiring at 31 after a dismal perfromance ,Mayweather fights once a year and we fans are supposed to get excited about that ? Manny is fighting a trilogy a few yrs to late and thats all we get ?? People are happy with the scraps were getting fed ..I myself need a full plate not the **** we keep getting fed !
I have to admit ring's 2002 ranking looks pretty sick compared to the current one: 1. Bernard Hopkins 2. Roy Jones Jr. 3. Marco Antonio Barrera 4. Vernon Forrest 5. Oscar De La Hoya 6. Kostya Tszyu 7. Erik Morales 8. Floyd Mayweather Jr. 9. Lennox Lewis 10. Shane Mosley
Its kind of True though, the MArco Antonio Barreras and Roy Jones juniors have gone, only to be replaced by Timothy Bradley and Andre Ward.
