ok guys i got my first fight at the end of this month. if you dont already know i have 10 months experience. im 16 years old.I am already starting to feel the anxiety everytime I think about the fight. Is this normal? or am I just panicking for no reason? What are some things to keep in my head till the fight is here? What should I do to try to take my mind off this? any suggestions or thoughts would be great from you guys and thanks in advance. here are some vids of me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ifwusjulb3k

You look ok in the videos you posted. Make sure your coach matches you with a guy of similar experience. It is normal to get nervous, many people still get nervous after 50+ matches, although their nerves appear closer to fight time than yours. All of this doesn't matter as long as you get in there and keep a cool head. He will be just as nervous as you, and you have to be the one who keeps to what he was doing in the gym rather than breaking down.

Make sure that you are very fit (but ease down fitness work in the final week), well rested, and that you have slept properly before the fight. It may make a huge difference. At novice level it is often the fitness and desire to win that decides the outcome, however, remember, that at this stage it is important just to get the experience, win or lose. You need the actual fights to move forward.

your footwork isn't great and it looks like you panic under pressure you also sort of raise your chin when you get hit.

man its normal to be nervouse about ur first fight, if you aren't the nur not normal, it wil keep ya sharpe, but the big thing is to just chill and relax if you can relax and just feel good you'll be fine, i mean go out and dont rush in to the guy take the first 10 or 15 secs and just move around and breathe get the feel for the ring and get the feel for havign the crowd and then do you thing and listen to ur coach, all the easy stuff :)

he told me its his job to match me with the person and that its not my job to worry about that. he also told me this after i asked him about how i get matched up
me:im just kinda anxious about fighting someone, can you try your best to get me with someone who has around my experince and i already know you get match with someone who is also getting thier first fight.
MY COACH: well this is the part where you ask your self, Do you trust me as a trainer? do you trust your training?

I forgot to say good luck earlier. Don't worry about all the advice you're getting here about your technique. Just relax and be confident that you are ready and trained properly. You'll have plenty to work on in the months coming but for now sounds like you just need to concentrate on relaxing and not working yourself up over it. Just get in there and get the first fight out of the way.
The first fight is always the worst, the more you get in there and do it the easier it gets.

Go in confident mate, you got nothing to worry about. You have a good technique and style and have the quality to beat fighters. Don't hold back too much, you only ever have one first fight, make it count.

Your opponent was wide open for huge counter left hooks when he was trying hit you at the body but you didn't capitalise.

The 1 1 2 you throw at 00:57 was a good one. You have decent speed and power, your movement is not so good. Your legs look too wide open.

Both you and your opponent when you throw at the body are uncovered. I suggest you should concetrate more to straight punches since there is not that much time to correct your body attacks.

Good luck. You look OK for the time you are training. And try to relax and have fun.

PS During the fight always listen to your corner. They see your opponent's mistakes better than you.
