Ricardo Lopez vs. Ivan Calderon, who wins?

    The two greatest minimumweights of all time imo. I think Lopez had the kind of jab and offensive attacks that would make it difficult for Calderon to get close and create openings without having to take damage. But, I could also see Lopez taking more counters than hes used to because he sometimes fight in lines and Calderon would no doubt capitalize on that. I could see Calderon having the most success early on, butLopez would adapt around the third round and start to find a home for his right hand. I could see Lopez nearly sweeping rounds 5-12, with Calderon only having moments and getting backed up more and more. Result: Lopez 117-112.

    I give Calderon a bit of a hard time...he is better and braver than I give him credit for.

    Lopez would still comprehensively own him..he just does every single thing much better.

    I don't see it lasting the rounds.

    Lopez by stoppage circa the mid-rounds. Different levels of fighter. Calderon had no offensive or physical attributes to speak of (outside of quickness). Lopez would take him apart piece by piece.

    Finito beats him. He annihilated many asians and asians, even if they're right handed, for some odd reason tend to fight in southpaw stance so Lopez wouldn't be confused at all by the stance.

    Hes an ATG minimumweight, he just laxks punching power. Skillwise and defensively hes as good as anyone though. But it is hard to see him beating Lopez, he just couldnt get Lopez respect imo.

    Lopez, if he was at a higher weight, he'd of had adulation throughout mainstream sports.

    Lopez by clear decision. He might struggle against his mobile, fleet footed opponent for a while, much like he did against Grigsby. But much he did in that fight, he eventually finds his range and closes strong to seal the deal. Calderon lasts the distance, but probably has to climb off the mat at least once and go into pure survival mode to make it to the final bell.

    This fight would have resembled what is now today JMM vs Joan Guzman. I think Calderon would get timed coming in and would be at a disadvantage due to El Finitos reach. I think this would end by a signature hook to the body.
