According to B.....scene Pirog gonna return in february and may fight the 160 pound IBF champ Geale or Lara. Its very much up to HBO to choose because Pirogs want to fight in
the states and fight on HBO.

Although not yet complete leaf fights, is assured the presence of one of the largest local fighters projection, the cruise Yunier Dorticos (12-0, 10 KO), and other also known as the heavy Glendy Hernandez (7 - 0, 3 KO) and light heavyweight Yunieski Gonzalez.

The first has garnered several accolades in his still short career, but not getting into a ring since last March knockout loss to Jose Luis Herrera in the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The other two were released in programs staged in the Magic City Casino.

The headliner holds a surprise. The veteranísimo, 39, Giorbis Barthelemy (8/2/25, 10 KO) will continue his return to Charles Whittaker (02/12/37, 23 KO). Now fighting as a junior middleweight, this experienced gladiator is reminded of his days in the programs of the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming.

"We are still refining the details, but this will be a very good card,''said Dobal. "The seat of the Double Tree Hotel has undergone a renovation and has all the conditions for holding quality boxing. I performed several evenings there in 2004, but now the installation is first class. We just ask that Miami fans to support this effort, and this effort, his boxers.''

Cuban Featherweight Luis Franco (10-0, 6 KOs) and Mexican Eduardo Escobedo (32-3, 23 KOs) will face each other in an IBF eliminator for the right to challenge IBF champion Billy Dib. The fight will be December 10 in Los Cabos, Baja California, Mexico at an event promoted by HG Boxing.

I really think that Franco is Cuba's best featherweight now that Gamboa has left 126lbs. Franco has a really good chance here at beating both Escobedo and Dib !!!

If he defeats both, Franco will be World Champ with just 12-0 !!!

Franco is not that good. Went life and death agaisnt Miranda and never really impressed me. He has no punching power.

 

Yoandris Salinas fought to a draw vs. former BW world champ Cermeno and Richard Abril picked up an interim belt vs. top LW Miguel Acosta.

 

Damn great for Abril, i didnt think he could pull it off. Bad news for Salinas.

Many cubans in big fights.
I am still waiting for Angelo Santana and Yuniesky Gonzales. Both should be close to ranking. Santana in big fight within six months and Yuniesky in ten-twelve months.Yuniesky beat Ortiz in Cuba and was number 2 heavy before he defected.
Now his fighting weight from 178-188. Both young fighters

 

I understand your point but remember that power can be increased in the gym and Franco has been trying to develop it so let's see how he looks in his next bouts. Also, Miranda was a pretty tough boxer with a good record, good chin and KO power. Franco doesn't fight like a typical Cuban, he fights like a Mexican all out fighter. Hey, if lesser Cubans like Abril and YP Hernandez are grabbing World Belts then Franco can also do it!

Yes, Gamboa is 3 times better than Franco but he is a very entertaining fighter who gives it all in the ring. I wish him the best!
