Oh, great find. I live two miles from where Corbet'ts Dad lived before he hit the 'States- James J is still known in the local folklore.
Great stuff. :good One thing I've noticed before on the Tunney-Dempsey 2 pre-fight announcements, the announcer clearly states Dempsey's weight as 187 1/2 ...... but most reports seem to have him heavier than that.
Thats because that is not the original broadcast of the second fight. The pre fight announcement doesnt exist. Just the rounds exist. That was a reproduction of the fight done several years later for radio. Corbett sounds like George Burns LOL
