The WBC has officailly declared Hopkins/Dawson a draw.

    Dawson's response on his Twitter:
'I'm still a real champion...Belts are only good to hold your pants up!!!

Hopkins/Cleverly has to be made. There is nothing really out there for Bernard. He needs to come to the UK and take on a young champion in front of a huge crowd.

    **** Hopkins.

As great as he can be, i just cannot watch him any more.

It's like watching an MMA match with im some times, with the amount of hugging & tieing up that he does.

If that clears the road to Shumenov for Bellew then i'm all for it :thumbsup

Can't say i'm excited for any future Hopkins fight though regardless of opponent (unless it's against a heavy hitting cruiserweight to increase the chance of a KO).

I wonder on what basis the WBC declared the contest a draw. I know that its only a technical point but shouldn't it have been declared a NC?

Yep i agree a NC and immediate rematch within 90/120 days should of been made. Not sure anyone wants to see a rematch but it would make sense to on there part. Forces each man to either move on or fight again.

Cleverly is not ready for Hopkins. I'd welcome that fight.

I doubt Clev would have the balls to go over to america and take it, though. He's Calzaghe Lite in every way.

I think Hopkins should come to the UK. There is not a lot doing in US at 175, besides a Dawson rematch. What is the point of fighting Cloud in Florida? Yes Hopkins' legacy is secure, but the weekends farce is not good. It tarnishes the good work he did against Pascal.

Cleverly/Hopkins would be a huge sporting event in the UK. In America it would only generate whispers.

Hopkins is the man at 175. Why should he come over to fight in a challenger's home town on the challenger's promoter's card and TV channel?

It is something else to accomplish. Hopkins would never be concerned with those issues mentioned.

Like I said: It would a massive event in the UK

They might even get Hopkins on Alan Carr to promote it. Just imagine that.

Why woundn't anyone wish to see a rematch between the two best fighters in the division? :huh

To be fair though, Dawson has never been the biggest of draws and it is perhaps questionable how much pull Hopkins has nowadays, especially after his recent antics.

I'd rather see Hopkins fight Dawson than Cleverly myself.

Hopkins on Alan Carr, that would be a sight to behold. Is he even big enough for a poofy chat show....... i doubt it.
