Richard you talk some **** mate, you seriously havent a clue and you will be another one i will laugh at after this fight.over 3k posts and your clueless unreal. Just coz 2 englishmen failed doesnt mean we will and we wont! te bookies have boobed here again:nono
I hope so Billy, Ive got a 200 quid bet on with a fella on here. Ive got burns down for a points win or late stoppage. All the best.
Mitchell is well skilled mate, his head hasn't been right through domestic troubles but on his day he can be a real contender. Frank has faith in him hence fed an unbeaten european champ to him just to raise his profile and confidence. This talk of him leaving is merely a kick up the arse imo. They are haggling over a new contract and Frank is playing tough. All imho of course, time will tell if I am right. As said in last post. Ricky has a voice and a backbone so why not use it? he lets his fans spend their hard earned cash on tickets to watch him fight guys who dont have the right to be in the ring with him as you know. Ricky has good pedigree and is a decent fighter, why he is fighting shot fighters like Cook is simply beyond me especially when guys like Buckland are about so it's not as if he fought him due to lack of suitable opponents. Billy the only way Ricky wins the fight is if he adopts the Guerrero gameplan and completely keeps Katsidis at bay with the jab. As soon as he comes in get on the back foot and counter. You know the game and I wish you well. Dont take me as a **** that wishes ill on folk cos I aint like that. I am merely a bemused fan whom is sick of being treated like ****. Boxing spread on 5 sport channels, all of whom require separate payments, hard times for the hardcore loyal boxing fan. The bouts on the undercard are ****ing pish i.e names v unknown and unskilled hungarians as seen on the echo bill (which I was at). Fighters very rarely take the fighst we the fans want i.e Burns v Broner and instead are fed dross like Burns v Evensen/Laryea/Cook. We are being burned out pal. Only so much wick to the candle before it burns out and I am using that metaphor to summarise my patience and cashflow as a fan. As for my prediction, it's easy, Burns by points if he fights the Guerrero gameplan, anything else leads to Katsidis by KO. Holmes.
Exactly. But he has to adopt that strategy. Katsidis only loses to betters boxers and folds late on after accumulative punishment. I dont think Burns has the pop in his punches at SFW let alone LW so I dont think he can hurt Kats enough to halt him. I see Katsidis pressuring Burns to the ropes with his relentless style and chopping away at Burns. He will catch Burns and hurt him possibly with Burns getting up only to be knocked down again. I just cant see past a Kats win.
Even if he adopts that strategy, I don't see how he can be successful with it. Martinez was able to walk straight through the front-door throughout the fight (one of the reasons it was so exciting). Katsidis, who's a lot better than Martinez, will do the exact same. The fact that Burns sparred Woodhouse for the fight tells you that Ricky isn't going to be prepared (and that's nothing against Curtis, who is a decent domestic-level fighter).
Like I said, he's been thrown to the wolves. Murray who's coming off a ko loss fights a journeyman as a tune up for a burns bout. Mitchell fights Kats after?
Yes, hence the reason I wrote coming of a ko loss. He is gonna be utter mince meat come fight night. I am predicting his moves after his upcoming ko loss I mean fight.
Pride of lions, then the hyena's then the scavengers in that order. There will be **** of the lad left once Rios has his turn. KO reel stoppage coming for the lad imo.
Billy you talk some **** sometimes mate and you seem to love to call other people clueless, but you say Murray turned the fight down but he has accpeted a harder fight against a better fighter than Katsidis for a real World Title not a bull**** Interim on the other fellas promotion. So the FACT of the matter is Murray has a harder job and shown his balls by going to America on the other fellas show something your man/team didn't fancy FACT. :good
I do believe Murray saw Mitchell as less of a task than he really was as well. I think he thought he would get Mitchell out of there. A rematch would be better but still have same result as Murray is a one dimensional fighter who simply comes forward in straight lines. Back to this, yeah skel bang on, why fight a gatekeeper when you can fight the man?
