Six One News : "And in other news Katie Taylor " RTE are a disgrace. Far too long have her achievements gone under the radar with them, she should have been mentioned in the News and Headlined the Sport!

Who watched Deano fight? Can't say I'm overly impressed but he has been out of the ring for a while and a win is win.

No power either, watched him against a latvian in dublin last year and he looked average as well. Pity but cant see him beating any of the top lads in the UK.

Very true mate, I touch on this in the paper tomorrow. RTE love me! seriously though, not even the sportsfile photographers or any other bothered send anyone, so in the paper we've had to source old photos of her in action at other tournies in other years, it's a joke. Girl is up there with the Roy Keanes and the Rory Macs and the Brian O'Driscolls, amount of coverage she gets is a disgrace. PLUS imagine the profile boxing could get if she was represented out there properly......

So was Byrne that bad or is it just bad ringrust? Anyone know if Ormond will get on a ****** bill before Xmas would be nice to see him in the ring again this year. Next year maybe push on for a title fight with Andy Murray some time late next year could be a decent fight for both.

If fighters cum to fight dey go down frontin didn't , now I do agree with that dean needs to work on his defense but to he didn't cun ouv second gear last night Maby due t been inactive first fight on live Telly who knows what was goin true his mind alot of pressure to deal with but don't write him off jus yet just wait an see what he brings in his next fight then pass judgment

i was very unimpressed with byrne, never bothered to watch him before and was expecting a lot more, he got caught with a lot of superb clean shots and he took them quite well actually, however coming forward he looked predictable was coming in constantly in straight lines, he also looked a weight division above frontin. To top it off the post fight interview was pretty bad, overall id give it a 6 out of 10 thats taking into account ring rust etc etc
