How much did Clev and Bellew get paid?

    the manager of JD is not in the public eye. The manager of Tesco is not in the public eye.

    When you are in the public eye, these questions are going to come up. That is one of the most obvious things. I have no business asking the manager of JD what he is on.. that is a stupid argument. However, if he was the president of America should we also not know what he is on? Well it's actually a matter of public record because we know what politicians are on. What snooker players/darts/tennis players make is all publically known and it should be.

    So we have no right to know what any fighter is on? Then we have no right to know what any footballer is on? We have no right to know what any politician is on?

    When you are in the public eye, these questions will come up again and again. Bellew earns his money but he is a celebrity and in this day and age he should be treated like all the others, not some hero because he posts here.

    So everyone who doesn't want to know what Bellew is on never wants to ever know a fighters purse for any fight then? Don't want to know what the politicians are making? Don't want to know what any professional athlete makes?

    Bellew thinks he should get some kind of different treatment because he posts here. He has no right to tell us that we are being disrespectful for trying to find out what the fighters on the card made.

    Lirva you ball bag, its at his discretion as to whether he wants to release that information. There is no obligation, people paid money to watch him fight and he more than held up his bargain, it doesn't give them right to stick their nose into things that are irrelevant. Besides, what does it matter if he got 20k or 200k? It makes no difference to anybody but Tony so give it a rest and talk about something worth debating.

    I am not wrong for asking the question though. I am not being disrespectful for asking the question because he is in the public eye so can't complain.

    It matters because we would like to know how ****** is doing his business on boxnation. It's interesting as a fan to see how much fights cost and to maybe try to guess if terrestrial television could be done. We all know Big Aud got 1 million when he went to BBC and thats good information. We know what fighters in the big fights make because it comes out. Mayweather/Pacquiao/Cotto/Margarito etc, we all can easily find out what they made in their last fight. But because Bellew posts here, we shouldn't know what he makes? My only point is that he should be treated like the others.

    What do you mean he should be treated like the others? If you think we know what every fighter is earning you are deluded. The information has not filtered out from this one and there is no obligation for anybody to release it unless they want to. There is no legal obligation, no moral obligation whatsoever. He's in the public eye has nothing to do with it, the reason he was in the public eye was to put on a fight worthy of the tickets sold which he absolutely did. You're reading way too much into this fans/fighter dynamic, the fans pay their money in advance based on their anticipation of an event, it doesn't give them the right to infringe on personal information. Inferring that fighters are in debt to the fans because they're in the public eye is one of the most ******ed leaps in logic that even you have made, lirva.

    Lirva gets some stick on here, some of it is really not justified.

    So what if he asks/debates the purses for fighters - it is interesting and people who think it is disrespectful should understand that these things will be discussed.

    Can you imagine David Beckham coming out and whinging that discussion in the media about his wage at LA galaxy is disrespectful?!?

    is everyone taking into consideration the costs the boxers incur like sparring partners,training fees etc.that would take a big chunk of there fee id guess

    I get paid £20.00 an hour double time to cut the greens at the weekend... It bumps the pay up abit but i only do my job for the love thats for sure.... I Love my golf and greenkeeping i wonder how many people on this site love there job and are willing to tell how much money there on............. I will start....

    GREENKEEPER / 12 years experience
    22,0000 year... Ends up about 25.000 with the overtime plus i get a house for my family and i pay NO BILLS.......
