    :patsch

what was up with that last night?

i understand it was a mismatch but where was his pride? He had an undefeated record to protect and this was said to be a huge event in Argentina?

damn....Filipino fighters should only be fighting Mexicans from now in, poor Nonito didnt deserve to get booed out of New York

He barely took a dozen punches through the whole 12 rounds?

He won (in his mind)because he didn't get hurt, marked up, or knocked out.

Probably made his biggest payday by far too.

He's probably about ready to retire anyway. Looked much older than 35(in the face). Was in great shape though.

because winning the fight is irrelevant its all about winning the event

I guess in his mind its a moral victory, he frustrated Donaire who only landed 15% of his punches, got the biggest check he's ever seen, kept his belts and can now go home and keep defending them. The one thing the guy did have was about the best defense I've ever seen. Or.....
Maybe he thought he really did win the fight, he may be insane. I recall him calling Donaire a "***" in between rounds late. Made me chuckle anyways, maybe he thought Donaire was wearing pink stockings because he's a little light on his toes and didn't realize its Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I cant blame Narvaez at all for fighting the way he did. He made a lot of money and hes still champ. I do blame whoever made this fight though, because Narvaez was clearly a much smaller man. Moral victory for him for going the distance, plus Nonitos face looked worse than his after the fight. You could even argue that Narvaez defense was more effective than Nonitos offence, not that thats worth if anything.

Like Silenc said, it was translated somewhere in the late rounds, between rounds. I don't remember which one.

It was between the 11th and 12th. Not sure if Narvaez said it or someone in his corner said it, it was just translated that way.

What is with this era of boxers who fight with the sole goal of not getting KTFO? It's pathetic.

I think they should add a K.O bonus to the purse, **** it make it $100,000 for eack knock down scored.
