Mike Mollo is not an elite heavyweight...but who is? I don't outside of Wladimir anyone is particularly elite in that division. Mollo showed more heart and ability in that loss than we have seen in most fighters. And though I don't think he will ever be a top tier heavyweight, he is still good enough to beat plenty of guys out there. This sport needs more guys like Mollo. Guys who fight their guts out, never quit, and are looking to win for all 12 rounds.
man, mollo got stopped by williamson. what else needs to be said. he should go back to working construction.
Right, I agree, Dave. He is an entertaining fighter, but I think considering how hard he fervently trained and tried like hell to win, only to be battered by a 40 year old Golota, must really be a wakeup call to Mollo. He must now realize, after this loss, combined with the devastating TOS loss, that he is either never going to be a top tier heavy, or he had better do something drastic to improve himself. Cause it seems he has hit a brick wall, and can't get any further in his career.
My reaction exactly. Who the hell ever thought this guy was any good?? atsch He's a high-grade clubfighter, nothing more.
great minds think alike i said pretty much that yesterday in another thread that someone tried to praise mollo for his big big heart http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41602
