Why did Narvaez think he won the fight?

Actually not a bad way to make a living if you do it as effectively as Narvaez did last night. He possibly made more money last night than in all of his previous fights combined. And came out without a scratch.

i actualy had Omar winning in thr first 5 rounds. Dude stopped countering afterwards. there was no way that was a shutout. I had it 116-112. He won at the least 3 rounds

I blame Nonito for looking past his opponent, as most of the fans here did as well.
Narvaez ain't just a nobody and most fans just shrugged him off as if Nonito's gonna blow him out that easy.
    Silly move :nono

he won 1 or 2 rounds tops. hitting Nonito a few jabs per round doesnt constitute winning a round.

damn, Bring on Arce in February or March for Nonito, Mexicans will always bring fire

Well the object of any sport is try to win, not try not to lose.

It's called a moral victory. He wasn't celebrating thinking he would get the actual decision.

Donaire was supposed to destroy him. It did not happen. It was never even close to happening. Moral win for Narvaez, although he lost most of the rounds and therefore the boxing match itself.

Your acting like Donaire was in trouble in the fight. Doniare won ever round on the cards, so I'll go ahead and call that a blowout if you don't mind.

Navarez went into the fight knowing he was not going to win and did his best not to look like an ass or get KO'd. That was his gameplan. Not someone I'd like to see fight again. He was fighting for the check.

You could plainly see that Donaire was trying to make something happen (especially late in the fight). I admit he should have went to the body a little more and even used the uppercut. IMO, with his quickness he would have been able to land some uppercuts while Navarez was in the guard.

Anyways, the conclusion of the fight looks like this: Donaire wins in a shut-out and has some very big fights ahead of him while he moves up, while Naverez goes back to Argentina to do what he does...

Let's face it, what is in store for Donaire in his future fights is nothing like a Navarez fight (Arce, Nishioka, Gamboa, JuanMa). Your post is clueless and a very poor way of thinking, although I can't imagine you truly believe what you wrote.
