Simmo will be a very backable price in this ... if he produces anywhere near what he did in Belfast against Lindsay i cant see Selby being competitive for 12 rounds...

Kinda agree with Billy nelson Smigga looked very drained in that fight early and despite getting caught with a great shot by Selby his chin was there to be hit and that win may have flattered Selby.

I can see Simpson having too much ring craft for Selby over 12 and could stop it late ... just hope the judges dont go all anti Simpson again ! hes been on the wrong end of several bad decisions in my opinion...

All down hill decision wise since the Dazzo williams fight, Simpson deserves better from the boxing authorities been a great servent to the sport where others would have walked away in disgust.

    ps. Simpson over 12 rounds

I ****in LOVE it when Simpsons opponents claim they are going to KO his ass...

Simmys the scottish Micky Ward, & after he sparks the Selb, its about time he gets a shot at the big time, been hanging around the domestic scene way too long, & has the robberies on his resume to prove it.

    Make it happen Billy.

I also forgot that Selby stood over Smith like absolute scum. Surely everyone in the world knew that when that shot landed it wasn't good news!

I hear Selbys been bad mouthing John which is all well and good out the ring but when John gets him in it he will defo change his opinion, the hurricane is going to blow Selby away.

I get impression Selby went to school on a green bus and spent his time after school talking to sheep..

I dont think Selby is a likeable lad in reality, whereas John never has a bad word about anyone,i just get the feeling though that it could be Selbys time, only time will tell though,John is a good fighter n hard as nails, but harder men than him have been stopped before,id like John to win but i have this niggling doubt.

Everyone was surprised when Selby Ko'd Smith regardless of how weight drained he was etc, i never knew much about Selby and expected an easy win for Smith but how wrong was i? John will be taking Selby alot more serious now than Smith did that's for sure.

I'd like John to come out quick as he was painfully slow against Smith both times now, just start with a higher intensity and show Selby who the boss is, John will do 12 rounds no problem that could be a factor for Selby? There's no chance Selby will KO Simpson, i could see John winning by stoppage late on, it seems to be every time John fights it's a last chance scenario so i expect him to be fully focused for this match up, going to be a barn stormer!

I wasnt that impressed with Selby, he looked ok but I think it was more down to Smith having a bad night, Selby was landing from everywhere even ones that I could have avoided and even the guys in the back rows watchinig live could see them coming.

If Simpson boxes clever I can see him winning quite comfortably.

I dont know a great deal about selby but if Simpson fights like he did against Lindsay then hes got to be in with a great chance was terrific that night. If he wins then hes got to move onto european level hes won the lonsdale belt outright not much point hanging around domestic level and the euro champ alexander miskirtchian is more than beatable, im sure he lost to paul truscott who john beat comfortably twice, and that could push him forward to a tilt at a world title as i think before the smith loss he was no.3 with the IBF

I'm going with Simpson .That was a nice punch and ko against Smith but Simpsons got a solid chin .I don't think he's been down in his career just a stumble .I haven't seen much of Selby tbh but i'm going with chin and whos got the most grit .As Dunky said Simpsons the Scottish Micky Ward .Simpson ko .

Simpson has never been stopped and handle all the power shots well. The first person to put him away deserves serious credit.

The only time i recall simpson being 'down' was against appleby and i think against al hamidi but both were slips not knockdowns
