Kelly's main support was always local. That was part of his appeal. He may have lost that now. If he does this, kiss that good bye. He will be drawing Berto type 'crowds'.

I think Dunkin and Arum might be announcing things in hopes of making them true. Time will tell.

I don't understand why people still don't get it. Manny Steward has disrespected Pavlik so much over the years that there is no way in hell Kelly would ever believe in him or trust him. End of story.

I get the idea that Steqwart would be good trainer for Kelly. The problem is Stewart is a part time trainer and the Kronk is too close to Ytown. Kelly would being going back and forth. Moving Kelly 3000 miles away gives him a better chance. Steward is old , and don't watch his boxers the way he did 30 years ago. Garcia is still young and seems to keep his boxers in the gym. Kelly needs a Baby sitter, and maybe Garcia is a good baby sitter. I like Jack Lowe, he did a great job with Kelly. But it's a fact Kelly is going no were fast staying in Ytown. Let's hope the calfi. sun and beach, and sparring with hard nosed Mexicans, will bring Kelly back to his senses. I wish him the best...

this may sound crazy? anyone think Roger Mayweather would be a good trainer for Kely? both are long lanky and skinny, with power. Kelly has no foot work like Roger. but I see them a little the same. It's funny I can see Kelly understanding Roger's jive talk. Before all you guys Shoot me ,Think about it..

Floyd is a totally different type of talent then Pavlik. They did a great job with Floyd but could never train a fighter like Pavlik to be a champion like Loew did.

Same with Steward, Booradly was right Steward has basicly called Pavlik a bum on a few occasions. Lots of these trainers Steward included don't know how to train the kind of stalker that Pavlik is. Steward could not even see the talent in Pavlik.

The more I think about it the more I think Pavlik should just stay in Youngstown and train with Loew. Hermit made a good point Pavlik fan base would take a beating if he moved out of Youngstown. And the Loew Pavlik combintation works, its just Pavlik needs to give 100 % of what he has to boxing.

This morning I watched a few rounds from the first Pavlik/Taylor fight. It had been awhile since I watched either Kelly or Jermain when they were near peak. The thing that struck me was how freaking good both guys were back then. Notably, KP landed HARD punches from all kinds of crazy assed angles. The man could throw hard and land from damn near any position.

The bottom line is that there are several wins that Kelly and Jack have never gotten enough credit for. Namely, Zuniga, McKart, Miranda, and Taylor. At the time those fights occurred no other middleweight could have beat those fighters the way KP did. People love to claim Pavlik is one dimensional and Leow doesn't know anything but "double the jab," but look at the fighters I just named. They had very little in common, and all those fights were very different. They all got knocked out!

The more I think about it, the more I believe Kelly needs Jack on his team. I think Jack is too volatile in the corner during a fight. When things look bad Jack panics. Someone more level headed might make a better chief second, but Kelly needs Jack Leow on his team.

Thank You! People just ignore the facts. Steward absolutely trashed Pavlik before the first Taylor fight, and then within moments of the fights conclusion he was kissing KP's ass trying to set himself up to train Kelly for the rematch, and that was before Jermain even fired him. Stupid to trust a two-faced guy like that!

It wasn't a matter of KP "changing his mind." Arum and Dunkin jumped the gun and announced a bunch of stuff Kelly did not agree to. There is an article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer where Dunkin sang a completely different tune than the one he sang the day after their meeting with Pav.
