The Ortiz fight was pretty exciting. He was coming forward and letting his hands go.

I thought the Ortiz, Mosley, and Hatton fights were all pretty good. The Marquez fight wasn't terrible, just one sided and anti climatic.

He is exciting to those who enjoy the sweet science. The way he technically shuts fighters down is exciting to me.

He does take more risks lately with opening up on his offense.

I think it's worth considering that the revenue for his last ppv was made with less buys than last time out since they charged an extra 5 bucks. So less people may have been interested but the extra charge balanced out

Floyd/Marquez wasn't as big a mismatch as people made it out to be. Stylistically maybe, but it was 2 guys ranked in the top 3 P4P.

Floyd stands right in front of guys and throws punches, not sure what more you could want from him other than that he get his ass kicked.

Floyd shared that #1 spot with the current PPV king at that time, Oscar Dela Hoya. BTW that fight stinks. "Stinko de Mayo", the world awaits my a$$. :D

I'll admit, him sucker punching Ortiz definitely increased his popularity. They should do a rematch since it would be a definite grudge match and seeing as it was the 3rd largest grossing non heavyweight fight in history. Why not do it again? The numbers are there and so is the money and so is the plot. It makes total sense.

A lot of the truth about Ortiz has come out. It'd be hard to sell the rematch, especially if Ortiz proves to still be a ditzy headcase.

Even though it's obvious you don't like nor understand his fighting style, he is right about fans buying his fights. His fights do sell and he is a major draw in the sport, numbers don't lie.
