erm to be fair Guillermo Jones isn't a good champion. Should Lebedev win he'll be a much better champ (even if it's interim).

Sauerland and Don King have their hands all over it, that's why.

I'm hoping Danny Green takes the WBC title from Wlod on Nov 30--that should set up some interesting fights in 2012 that hopefully involve Tarver and Hopkins. Or if Wlod wins, let's hope he fights Huck or Lebedev straight away.

I can't believe some of you still don't understand the concept of an interim title. Basically if you win the interim title of some organization, you become the mandatory for the "real" champ of that organization, and somewhere down the line he has to defend against you and if he refuses, they'll strip him of the title and you become the champ. And interim titles are contested when the "real" champ is unavailable for some reason, like being injured or doing some stupid **** (Jones-Marrone).

If JT wins this, he has a strong case for being the GOAT.

Obviously, the WBA will declare the winner of Toney-Lebedev the WBA regular champ as soon as Jones moves up to heavyweight which will be still this year.

Trust me, there are no plans for a Jones-Toney/lebedev winner fight.

We will probably see Toney in hist first defense of the WBA title against Tarver or B-Hop early next year.
