..reality checks have been known to work wonders in the past..:good ..as goes boxing..99% of champions have had to deal with this situation...no doubt a rematch down the track will be a beauty..:thumbsup
I called them woman because they were female mate. that was the fight I was talking about, you got that right? I guess Winky was not an excitment machine but as an effective boxer he was great. Thats right, small risk, risk vs reward, thats whats its all about.
Fair enough mate...but Broadhurst bouncing around like nothing was wrong just 15 secs later has me feeling otherwise...just my opinion. On TV to me it didnt come across that way at all.
:good..that's exactly right and the exact reason why Broadhurst got tagged...end of story.. ..just a simple wake up call to get back to basics.. ..and good on Berridge for bein' good enough to capitilize..:good
I did not end up catching the main fight till right at the end, but my initial comment about not using the jab was in regards to the woman who fought before. I watched the fisrt 6 rounds and that was enough.
well mate...I've just had a quick look at the fight and that's exactly what I come away thinkin'...so maybe it applied to both fights...but Trent is not on his 'Pat Malone' anyway...it's a pretty common trait for a up'n'comin' fighter to get caught up in...they get to gungho and forget about what made them successful in the first place..cheers buddy.:good
Trent has a distinctive style that plays into Southpaws hands. Keep him away from southpaws and he will be alright.
When I was watching it I thought Trent's head hit the canvas when he went down. Could be wrong, but would've added to the concussion.
yes his head hit the canvas quite hard going on the replays. trent hasnt really shone in the pro ranks. not sure why. berridge managed to minimize trent advantage in boxing skills by having a high work rate, being an awkward southpaw, and being more aggressive. i noticed 2 of the judges gave broadhurst all 4 rounds!!! atsch so if this one went all the way i think it would have been a bit controversial like the carroll brown fight. all trent needs to do is more work. when he chooses to, he easily outboxes everyone. but, against berridge at least, he was only doing this in spurts.
not wrong about a rematch, spoke to him last night after he saw the no heart and could've got up if he wanted comments,he's keen as mustard for this to happen asap in N.Z or anywhere for that matter. Thanks to everyone for the positive comments...
