    And on to the next..

I think Velasquez is too seasoned, and will pin and control JDS if he has to in there to get the W.

    Who you got??

Good fight this, remember Cain getting rocked a few times by Kongo so I can see JDS hurting him. Not seen JDS fight off his back or in with someone who can shoot for the takedown like Cain.

I'm more confident in Cains ability to get this to the ground than JDS to keep it standing so I'm leaning with Cain

Likewise.. I need to review some tapes, but like they say, that gut feeling is almost always right.

I was shocked at how Carwin was able to last the distance after getting clowned in that first round.. Same goes for that Roy Nelson fight.

JDS is big, powerful, but maybe a little wet behind the ears? We shall see.

Can someone tell me about JDS' ground game? Takedown and TD defense??

I want JDS to win, but put a gun to my head and I would predict Cain.

Whichever one of them wins though, he will certainly be a worthy and dignified champion. That and the clash of styles make this a very good heavyweight title fight.

    :hat

Wet behind the ears? JdS is more experienced than Velasquez. They're both 7-0 inside the UFC. (Cain being 9-0 and JdS 13-1)

He's been working with Nogueira for years and years and with Blackhouse and top wrestling coaches for at least a few years now. Do we have evidence of his grappling prowess in MMA? Not really. Every person he's been in there with he's put a beating on them or had them seeing stars.

Carwin was unable to take him down (which, while doesn't say an absolutely amazing amount, it does say something rather significant, since we're effectively starved for "proof,") and Junior was able to take Carwin down. (Necessary caveat being that Carwin was beat up from the first round of their fight but seemed to have recovered. Just in case anyone wanted to try and use that to "counter" this perspective)

This fight is ridiculously good. The best heavyweight fight we've seen since Fedor vs. CC, in terms of potential and pure skill.

I got Velasquez in this fight. AKA has been on fire lately and in the last Strikeforce event, completely dominated. There's a ton of good young talent in AKA now and they all feed off each other. I see Cain winning in dominating fashion. Looking forward to this fight!

How could I forget? He is the one who busted up Anderson Silva in training.

A Brown Belt in BJJ, I'm certain we will see what he's got on the mat.

I stand by my prediction, but one error can change the makeup of this fight.. We will see either a close fight or one brutal knockout :yep

Yeah, I don't put too much clout in information "coming out of camps," and I wouldn't suggest too many other people do either unless you're there.

We'll see what happens if Cain puts him down, it'll be tough. Cain has some nasty top control so it might belie how good JdS' ground game is, plus you have to try and figure out what his aim on the ground will be, which I would think it would be to simply neutralize Cain, minimize damage and get back up.

Good luck with the prediction, this one is tough. Stylistically I'd give an edge to Cain as well simply because of his wrestling but this is one of those fights that only comes along every few years (at best) where the guys are just so damn good.

This fight is gonna be awesome!
