We all know James whiskers are in question and all that coming into this fight, and rightfully so. But does anyone else have a feeling James Kirklands left to the body might be the equalizer for this one fight? :smoke

    Intriguing fight this one.

He might stun the world with his arsenal and punching power, you never know (that's what's so cool about bawxin').
And of course he knows it's "do or die" in this fight. If he gets bounched of the canvas again his days as a big time player are probably numbered, so he's probably very careful and I can't see him "go for broke" as some here believe.

    My prediction;
Angulo by T/KO4, wich affectively removes James from the big time list.

Kirkland by KO : Lands a crushing right hand while the ref is giving the fighters instructions.

I had a dream about this fight last night. Angulo knocked Kirkland out cold in the 2nd round but the referee thought it was a headbutt and Kirkland got a DQ win. So that could happen, I suppose.

Kirklands management didn't agree to fight Angulo without careful consideration.
Angulo's style is perfect for Kirkland, not to mention Alfredo's inflated worth as a contender. It's a perfect way for James to get back into a positive high profile.
Watch for Angulo to take a considerable beating in this one and lose by TKO.

Everyone is mentioning Kirklands dodgy chin, which came to light when he got KO'd, but I remember watching his fight with Joel Julio and he took some massive bombs in that and just walked through them.

Has there been any explanation on why he suddenly got dropped from a japanese power puff puncher?

I personally think hes just taken so much punishment through training/sparring/fights that he could be shot, when i hear him in interviews he sounds punch drunk already.

Hopefully im wrong because I do love watching him fight.

The antedote for a puncher is a lot of the times someone with a good chin. I think Kirkland will lose confidence if Angulo is able to take his punches.

Kirkland's problem (or rather one of them) is that even if he lands his equalizer, against the odds, Angulo shrugs it off. Both to the head and the body.

Angulo is very limited but the guy is just about indestructable. Cintron, Julio, and Guiterez can all crack pretty well but they never hurt him. I think its a stretch to think that Kirkland can be the first to do so before Angulo taps his chin.

I am an Angulo fan and I hope that he wins.

I am excited to see Angulo with Nacho in his corner. If I am not mistaken Nacho is a defensive trainer, so all that can do is help Angulo.

    Guiterez hurt him.

Problem here for Kirkland is the short compact right hand from Angulo. It's Angulo's best punch, it so happends to also be a southpaw killer..and Nacho has that punch sharper then ever.

Angulo by KO the right hand will start it...
