Both are saying on twitter this fight is looking good to go in Feb 2012 at 147.

Brit forum's opinions on this fight and how it'll go...?

I think Paulie has a good chance in this one. He takes a good shot and Maidana has terrible footwork. If he can keep on the outside and fight behind the jab, I think he can pull of a UD.

  3. Maidana, probably a late stoppage.

Paulie doesn't have the legs anymore to keep away from Maidana, and has nothing in his arsenal to stop him coming forward throwing his big shots.

The fight I want to see Maidana in is a local derby vs Matthysse. Bombs away.

Paulie wont be able to keep him at bay for twelve rounds. Maidana will get to him with big over hand rights all night. Paulies corner will pull him out in the later rounds!

pauli does have an excellent chin and decent movement, and unlike khan he knows how too slip punches. depending on whether pauli's chin holds up i could see him getting a UD.

Paulie is past his best, his movement is shot. Maidana hurts him and stops him in 10.

His chin will hold up but his defence won't, I reckon. Could be a good first half for Paulie but eventually Maidana will start to get to him, and although Paulie has a massive heart, when he realises he won't win he does go into a state where it looks like he's just trying to make it through (Khan and Hatton) although he left it all in the ring vs Cotto so I could be wrong. Maybe he got disheartened by Khan just being better and Hatton outboxing him. I think it could be an interesting fight anyway, but then I do actually love Paulie and would bum him at any given opportunity (homo).

Maidana wins by stoppage after losing many rounds, possibly retires him in the process. Paulie has too much heart and bravery for his own good and won't quit.

agree with most who say that he won't be able to keep maidana off. not enough power to discourage maidana.

maindana on points, i dont think he will put paulie away i dont think hes technically good enuff to land enuff but his pressure and power my tell down the stretch as paulie stops moving as much

If a shot Morales can make Maidana look bad I imagine Paulie should be able to do the same. I'll be honest I think Maidana is ridiculously overrated think Paulie win a wide UD.
