In all honesty Lance.... Pac has already went beyond the half way mark and bent over backwards in order to corner Floyd....no need to give him an excuse now. Chances are.......Pac agrees to venue and Floyd comes up with another demand....but I agree that the guy that calls himself money doesnt seem to be trying to secure this "easy payday" with all these unusual requirements.

I sure to God hope you are not implying that Floyd wanting to fight at the same place Pac just fought and is about to fight at in the most lucrative weekend of boxing is an unusual requirement

The funny thing about all this is that Floyd's camps tone was not brash or negative. They were being a lot more respectful than usual. This is no disrespect to Pac putting a date and location out there. We all ****ing know neither side has or will ever call the other side. They may go to HBO but never direct contact. ****ing bob arum did a countdown special with clottey on stand by. Lmao. Mayweather is actually helping pac/jmm ppv bc this is making noise and generating buzz. If he shows up at the fight tack on another 500k buys. I can't understand how *******s(most) can't see arum does not want this fight. Bob Arum was talking like there is no time to work things out. t

Don't be silly.....a fight of this magnitude can generate a ridiculous amount of money which means more money for EVERYONE.

What is unusual is Floyd knowing this yet he intentionally decided that any extra $30 to $50 million wasn't enough to even consider a more financially profitable venue to host this fight.

Vegas is great for big fights.....but this ain't just the average big fight.

I can't believe it. You bought Arum's bull****. You have no idea how much the MGM offered and you're just eating this **** up from Arum.
He give 7 excuses and you choose the one that seems the easiest to use :-(

Of course it does. But, I could've sworn Arum picked out three venues for Manny for Nov 2010 (and the opponent (Margarito) some would argue), none of which included Floyd's input. Then he proceeded to carry on a "negotiation", which did not (according to Floyd and associates) include Floyd's input. Finally, he proceeded to give Floyd a deadline, with which to respond (w/ a countdown clock and all). :think

Floyd has picked out a venue, HE intends to fight at, and a date. He, reportedly, is considering Manny as the top choice, in terms of the opponent. This is not a partnership. These people are not friends, they are competitors. If Arum really wants to suggest another venue, he will do that in the negotiations, instead of whining in the media.

I'm surprised so many are taking issue with Floyd showing some initiative in making this a possibility (not saying that you are). Many seem more content with calling him a "ducker", "coward", "*****", etc.

MGM has never made offers coming close to $30 million to host ANY fight. Usually LV doesn't need to. There's NO stat that is in position to drop that kind of money to host any event... You realise that some insanely rich men with deep pockets come up with this kind of Money to secure this kind of fight..

Billionaires like Jerry Jones and rich south Africans and Indonesians.....Not a local state government looking to host a big event like this one.

They recently has the 1st Grand Prize in my city and the City only mustered up $18 million to get the contract and that was for a 3 day weekend....this fight is maybe 3 hours total and doesn't require 10 city blocks.

    How old are you?

19 years old and I know in 2009, they had venues bidding for the fight. Yankee Stadium, Cowboys Stadium, ect...... AND THEY BOTH CHOSE THE MGM GRAND

Stop trying to create your own ****ing problems. How do you see this as negative news?

So according Dan Rafael, Floyd has only put the date on hold for MGM. It's not locked in. So if Floyd's willing to come off the date but doesn't want to fight outside of LV, will you guys still say he's posturing and doesn't want the fight?

No one is creating problems. Lol....the built in problem lies with Floyd who is essential to making this fight. In 2009 the fight wasn't as "promoted" as it is now....2 yrs later...Agian.....Jerry Jones owns the cowboys and cowboys stadium. His money is longer than any group of share holders at Yankee stadium or at MSG. 2 yrs makes a huge difference.
