Im not sure who will win this ... Tito was a great puncher at 147 and i dont know if Cotto could have handle him. what you guys think?
Tito would have hurt him very badly. Tito was way to natural with his punches at 147, he could throw them on a dime. That left hook was like a wip and his right cross was like a sledge hammer. Dude Trinidad @ 147 hit harder than Cintron does at 147, Imagine....Cintron has the ability to hurt Cotto with that power...Tito with a well placed left hook anywhere on Cotto's head would have really hurt him. In the end this doesn't matter, Boxing is about legacy not about who's chin you think could hold up or not to w/e puncher.
Tito just had to graze a part of your temple with his punches for you to start dancing on ***** street. There is no way Cotto would escape. If he got glassy eyed there was no escaping the wrath of Trinidad. And to say Tito wouldn't hurt Cotto at any point of a 12 round fight is comical
Oh please. Vargas, DLH, Hopkins and others all hit much harder than Cotto does. Cotto gets iced early, Trinidad is poison for guys who come at him.
Trinidad by brutal Ko. Cotto's shaky chin won't hold up against one of the hardest welter hitters of all time.
Cotto is a better boxer than Tito ever was, but Tito has the greater dimensions and is the taller guy, with the better power. If Cotto were to stand with him, he gets hurt. I think Cotto is more accurate and more skilled, but at this stage of his career, we haven't seen enough to determine if he can handle a puncher like Tito. He boxed with Shane, which is the only reason I am even considering this matchup, but I'd still say his style is not suited to being an outboxer, especially against a guy like Tito. Tito by KO.
At 160, Hopkins hits much harder than Cotto would at 160. Are you serious? Hopkins was the easy one for me, the others were somewhat questionable.
