He says that the ego that they all have will prevent them from making the fight and that the biggest fight for Mayweather in terms of money is Martinez. "Mayweather will get more than a 50/50 deal with Martinez." Over on the scene. I want to see Manny and Floyd May 5th but will be okay with Martinez if it ends up that way.

What I get from that interview is that Lewkowicz seem to be hinting that Mayweather-Martinez is already a done deal. Which was what Team Martinez has been saying a couple of weeks ago.

    Look at these statements:

"If you read between the lines he wants the biggest fight, which means the biggest purse that he can have. The biggest purse would be Martinez, not Pacquiao."

"Martinez can secure his next fight in March and if he doesn’t fight in March, who knows, maybe in May in a big one."

I had this suspicion. I think Floyd's team already worked everything out, but told them they will talk to Pac's team first before finalizing it.

So after Arum blows this damn fight again, Floyd can go and fight Sergio instead

I'm all for Pac vs Martinez or Floyd vs Martinez..... But that's not the fight that everyone wants.

Mayweather taking the Lion's share against Martinez still wouldn't be even as close to as lucrative as 50/50 with Pac.

Yeah I'm still not convinced he'll make more with the Martinez fight... The Pac fight is what we want, I'd be upset if he went and made the Martinez fight without even trying to negotiate with Pac... Although Arum didn't seem to happy with May 5th at MGM grand.... Hopefully Martinez is just a backup plan.

yeah my friend is a back Sergio fan and I was explaining his manager's comments to him about FLoyd making more money and I said the reasoning sounds ok, but I don't know if the numbers will add up. How much ppv buys can Sergio add?

It's a great fight, wish it would happen, but I don't think Sergio brings too many more ppv buys. Also, how low of a split would he be willing to take? I don't think Floyd would get more in a fight with Sergio, best bet is to wait and see if Pac's team is willing to agree this time around first.

    Lol that's ******ed. lets say

    Floyd-Sergio does 1.5M PPVs at 65/35 : .975
    Floyd-Pac does 2.5M PPVs at 50/50: 1.25

Floyd-Pac is still the better $$ option for Floyd.

A lot of casual fans haven't even HEARD of Sergio Martinez. **** even Pac didn't know who he was till the Dzinziruk fight lol
