Floyd had some early on in his career though. I guess he decide to just say **** it and wanted to be the bad guy.

    still has some imo

when guys like Vanes Martir don't make the fights we want to see, he's seen as an AZZ and is forgotten about

when Floyd doesn't make fights people want to see, he's seen as an AZZ and then talked about even more

He's "can't miss" and "must see" in a Paris Hilton/Kim Kardashian/Jersey Shore kind of way. Take away the trash and gutter appeal and Floyd fades into oblivion.

    Thats it.

Its a shame because he has 'once in a lifetime' talent and a great work ethic.

He could have been a huge star and he would beat Pac, no easy task.

I think its because his dysfunctions and insecurities - being raised for his boxing family to live vicariously through obviously imprinted him with some strong neuroses- shine through most clearly in the Internet age.

I really don't like him but I don't blame him for my dislike. The way I see it if his father and uncle weren't such flaming loons maybe he'd have not had the personality that keeps him from being popularly accepted. But then again, would he still be the perfectionist gym rat he is now without the pressure cooker of the Mayweather clan?

When all's said and done his talent is supreme on today's boxing scene, he is really one of the great American boxers, but his mental baggage kills his image.

Floyd's kind of a tragic figure in my eyes.

He's a master boxing protégé, but he has the mind of a Hip-Hop B.E.T. gobbling goon with absolutely no awareness.

How can people be racist, when all the people you listed are BLACK??? The 80's was more racist than now and the 60-70's were more racist than the 80's.

Nope, the Pretty One is the victim of his own machinations... and I for one don't "pity the fool." :yep:D

Because people like the underdog. Floy'd has put himself in a position where he is the one to beat. In Ali's case, it was like can he beat a monster in Foreman? In Floyd's case, it's the other way around can anybody beat Floyd Mayweather jnr? he is that good and his arrogance doesn't help.

Because he's a douchebag with an uninteresting personality. Were Leonard and Ali white or something?

Those 2 were were dynamic speakers. Listen to Floyd's last radio interview.
Is that charismatic and a stance one would want to identify with?

They all have or had their demons. Ali and Leonard beat up their woman too and had other personal issues or got into trouble.
