The 7th and 9th were probably two of the closest, most competitive rounds of the second fight (With arguably RD 1 & 12 being the next closest rounds if memory serves me correct). How did you guys score those rounds? I think these are probably the most telling rounds for which fighter you think won.
All four of those rounds were extremely close...I gave round 1 to Pacman, gave 7 and 12 to JMM, and 9 I had even. At the end of the day though, I had JMM by SD. It was hard to score that fight sitting at home, cant imagine what the judges were dealing with. With the fight so close, the knockdown killed JMM from the judges point of view, but despite the knockdown, I felt that JMM edged it out.
Why did you score the fight an SD? Did you score it 3 times?? You must remember you are only one person.. 3 judges are needed to score a spit.
Round 1- 10-9 Pacquiao Round 2- 10-9 Marquez Round 3- 8-10 Pacquiao Round 4- 9-10 Pacquiao Round 5- 10-9 Marquez Round 6- 10-9 Marquez Round 7- 10-9 Marquez Round 8- 10-9 Marquez Round 9- 9-10 Pacquiao Round 10- 9-10 Pacquiao Round 11- 10-9 Marquez Round 12- 10-9 Marquez
I re-watched round 7 & 9 & 12 and they're tough rounds to score. I had the same scorecard except I gave Marquez RD7 and Pac RD9. Initially, I had RD7 a Marquez round. They both could easily be 10-10 rounds, which would still give Marquez the fight on my scorecard.
just rewatched and hadn't seen this thread yet. a couple were more difficult to score than others even JMM Pac + KD Pac JMM JMM even JMM (big round) Pac Pac JMM even coming out to a draw. I was leaning toward JMM for that even 7th though. So a draw or JMM by 1 point is fine. The fight is close enough that Pac by 1 point is fine too.
Round 12 wasnt close, marquez won it. Rounds 1,7,11 determine the scorecards the rest of the rounds were easy to score.
Actually round 7 is a pac round while 11 is for marquez which means the entire outcome is based on round 1 it makes it 114-113 for either guy or a draw.
