He couldnt beat him at their more natural weights and its clear that Marquez is no welter.Pac is more powerful now and JMM is older....I expect JMM to be competitive,but this time Manny will clearly win

Honestly no. JMM has proven twice he is a serious threat to Pac. While Pac is a more complete fighter now his new skills have yet too be tested against a fighter with JMM's style.

I expect this will be another competitive fight, only way I will be shocked at the result is if Pac destroys and KO's JMM in a few rounds.

 

my opinion is, first few minutes, marquez will be shocked he wont know wchich punch to counter. pac doesnt do his usual jab, jab, left straight.

counter punching is like, roll/block the weaker punches, evade/slip/duck the power punches and counter. at least thats how i see counter-punching. it means you have to be there infront, slipping,ducking, rolling with the punches and countering.

now, if you stand infront of pac for a split second looking to counter, he is going to explode on you 3 to 4 punches, everyone of them power punches.

so, when you say, marquez is going to counter pac, which punches marquez expects to counter?

i cant imagine marquez standing trading with pac, its what cotto tried to do in the first few rounds. maybe marquez will try in the first few rounds.

i can imagine marquez, jabbing and circling, moving though. make the fight extremely boring.

Everything depends on how Marquez handles the power this time. If he copes with that then his skills will shine through.
