After Hopkins beat Pascal, he said he wanted to fight Bute. Bute said he has no plans to move up to LHW yet, but Hopkins does have the WBC belt. I have a feeling Dawson will be demanding a rematch since he doesn't have the belt, and most likely the TKO decision will be overturned. What is the likelihood of this fight happening?

Hopkins has wanted the fight for a while now but Bute and his advisors are not stupid, he's a glorified home town hero who's best win is Glen Johnson....he's in his prime and his best win was last night against a fighter with an 15 previous losses who's way past his prime. Bute is on the verge of becoming Canada's answer to Sven Ottke.

Glen is the most overrated fighter ever. Bika is better, his performance against Bute was much better then Johnson's.

I've said this even before Johnson joined S6. When you have 15 loses you're no elite.

Would be the toughest 2-3 rounds for Bute ever - then Hopkins would have "a fall" of some sort and the fight would be ruined.

Not interested in watching Hopkins any more, against anyone.

Hopkins doesn't deserve a shot at anyone until he fights and beats Dawson...which he will NEVER do. Time for the old man to hang 'em up.

What is this dumb **** :patsch Bika aint his 40's Johnson is, tell me something when do you suspect Saiko Bika will win the fighter of the year award? :think

Suddenly became old? are you ****ing stupid? (seriously I want you to answer this question) Glen Johnson is 42 years old Hopkins is closing in on 47 these guys have been old and past it for a long time now.

Hopkins deserve a shot? why the **** would Hopkins 'need a shot' at anyone, did you forget he's the champ at 175lbs his legacy and ATG status are sealed it's Bute who'd be getting the 'shot'

****ing hell where are these idiots popping up from :patsch

    Yep.
Bute's management have been closely studying the Ottke, Kessler and Frank W. "How To Create and Sustain A Hype" manuals. :yep

Hopkins needs to redeem himself against Dawson first. Other than that, he should RETIRE. His headline PPV fighter status is gone. Beating Dawson is the only way anyone could possible take him serious anymore. His "running around, charging head first, grabbing, holding and hitting" style is the only way he can fight now. No one wants to see that crap anymore. (Maybe you do)

I dont think this fight will happen Bute has left at least 3 fights at SMW, Ward,Froch,Kessler then he will fight Pascal to see who is the best in town or Dawson if it would be a big money fight.

I suppose that Glen Johnson does and has always qualified as an elite JOURNEYMAN.
He has always been this, although a game, skilled, and driven one.
Johnson is the sport's top journeyman and would have been more meaningful for Bute had he been 35 instead of 42.:yep
