i mean the outcome of the 3rd fight.

look marquez is a counterpuncher. counter-puncher. you wait for the punch and then counter.

in the first 2 fights, what was the punch to counter? pac's left straight.
they were just almost dancing, pac dancing all the while looking to land his left. marquez, also dancing to the rhytym of pac, all the while waiting for pac to throw his left.

once pac does, he take a small step back and counter. he knows pac is not in the position to hurt him, because by time his left is thrown, marquez is out of range, thats why pac has to lunge to connect.
(i believe eric morales took a step to the right once pac throws his left).

when pac is out of position, marquez throws more punches, more combos and reset. rinse and repeat. marquez has built his entire defense around evading pac's left. even then, pac still connected some, i.e. kd in 2nd fight.

now fast forward to present. which punch is marquez going to counter?

pac has become an efficient puncher. he is no longer out there looking to land his left. well he still does, but he can carefully mask it with his right.

he does his in and out, in and out, then comes in with full momentum looking to land his power right lead, semi-straight semi-hook to the face. he can hurt you with that punch if you dont pay attention.

if you do, and look to counter that, he can bait you by feinting. he comes in, stop midway and feint your counter with a right hook to the face.

once he knows that you know he can hurt you with his right, thats when he tries to sneak his left, on exchanges especially.

pac has become a 2-fisted beast that hardly loads his punches, and is really difficult to time and counter.

cotto (and mosley in early rounds) tried to stand and counter pac and was beaten to the punch.

i think, marquez will be moving and jabbing and circling, ala mosley. or maybe try to clinch. or maybe marquez has gained enough power and increased his abilitty to take punches that he will risk trading punches.

ultimately, how marquez chin going to hold pac's punches is how soon or long the fight will be.

    my 2cents.

edit: my money is soon, marquez's warrior spirit is going to betray him.

If JMM wins by KO, I'll be shocked.

If he were to win by decision, I would not be, as this would likely make lots of money for the bookies & the betters with inside knowledge.

    Shocked? No.
Will give mad props to JMM and question Manny's career north of LW? Definitely.

That being said, still, Manny for the KO in under 7.
