I have just never been a fan of Dempsey and I think he's vastly overrated.

I have grown a dislike for Oscar over the past couple years how he inserts himself in big fights even after losses and even after long layoffs. I'm just not a fan of it.

My dislike for both of them probably factors into my picking of Cotto by KO over De La Hoya and also my picking of numerous heavyweights over Dempsey. I'll admit I'm biased against both to an extent.

why the bias against berto pea? i've never been a fan of berto, and i'm apathetic in regards to him. i'm just curious. is it because he's a hype job? (which is understandable)

I think Whitaker would have beaten Duran at lightweight, and Duran is my favourite fighter of all time. Hopkins is currently one of my active favourites, yet I pick Calzaghe to edge him over the distance. De La Hoya has been one of my favourite fighters over the last 15 years. Leonard, Hearns, and Duran would have all beaten him at welterweight and jr middleweight.

I'm biased against Berto because of his lack of skill and technical ability in the ring. From my point-of-view he has just been physically overpowering opponents, and I hate it when people take him to beat top-level guys in fantasy matchups cause physical ability will only get a guy so far! Unless he changes that around in his next few fights and his dumb rookie mistakes (doubtful) he will end up a gatekeeper that just can't win against the top-level guys. Fun to watch and a great guy to have around in the sport, no doubt, but the nuthugging on the guy is getting on my nerves. He just isn't THAT good. Or as Amsterdam would put it; he is FAR from supernatural

    Indeed.

I've always had a soft spot for Tyson despite his outside-the-ring antics. Although, there's a possibility that I've just admired 80s Tyson so much because some of my best memories are of watching his fights as kid with my dad who turned me into a boxing fan.

On topic: I admit to sticking up for Mayweather on this forum, but the rematch with DLH is indefensible IMO. If it really happens, I've got nothing positive to say.

Biased against: Irrational nuthuggers and haters.

and Margarito :-(( I only hated the BS hype before he made an ass out of himself after the Williams fight. Now, I hate him.

Probably on punch resistance. He's pretty solid all round. Just need to see how he does against the top tier welterweights. Personally, I think he's coming along well.

That's the problem with our society. People are way too sensitive. With all the true racism that exist in our society, to get all bent out of shape because someone said "I'll never let a white boy beat me" seems ridiculous. I'm not saying I condone what Hopkins said, but people on here act like he's David Dukes or something. Most of the people complaining about this are lucky enough to have not experienced any real racism in their lives.

I have no bias towards Floyd. He's a great fighter with no significant flaws. It's really hard to bad mouth a guy with Floyd's skillset, discipline, and work ethic.

I see, when I watch him, basically what Cardstars sees. Someone who simply overpowers his C and D level opponents. He has excellent handspeed and power, but that's about where I'll end it as far as positives(against top competition I am talking). His footwork is no good, neither is his footspeed. He seems to hop along to get to a point in the ring, and has no variety in his movement. He has a nice straight jab, but his defense is lacking, and he is a brawler first and foremost. Against a pure boxer with good movement, I see him getting easily decisioned. Against a fellow big puncher, I see him getting starched due to lack of defense and mediocre chin(from what I know).

I think he has a long ways to go before becomingan elite, and am not sure he ever will. My problem lies in the fact that some already think he is, or will be soon.
