    Another good thread, SS.

Angulo obviously had the wrong game plan and paid dearly for it. :good

There's a good chance he isn't done - depending on how much that beating from rounds 2-6 took out of him.

I think angulo was the one with the bad training this time around and only fighting 1 round in a year.

Like when angulo came back and got KO'ed from a bum, so does angulo now...

he will come back for redemption as Kirk did.

What would he be if Kirkland hadn't beaten the count after the right cross twenty seconds in? :think

It's kind of hard to say that when he had his man seated and subsequently punched himself out. He could have stopped Kirkland. He didn't. It's easy to draw conclusions based on each guys showing after that, but that 1st round was too much of a wildcard for me.

Props to Kirkland. I don't think that Angulo's preparation was as it should be. I am talking about his conditioning. I am not saying it because he lost the fight but moreso because of his inability to recover after round 1. Perhaps Angulo is slow but he was occassionally still catching Kirkland. To say that Kirland beats Angulo 100 out 100 times based on last nights performance is not quite right.

It would be Angulo's the greatest LMW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He'd KO Cotto in 5!

No but ESB has a problem with stuff like this, Angulo is now shot, And Kirkland should fight Cotto and Margo. It is wrong, Too much hype on a fighter from 1 great win. I could swear a pile of people had Kirkland with a photoshopped glass chin Just 24 hours ago. Now it is Kirkland is the Greatest, And Angulo the most hyped fighter 2 days ago is" shot". :-(

you forgot that this is boxing on ESB, where one loss EXPOSES you as a hype job.

Angulo could have beaten Kirkland to a pulp if he had paced himself in the 1st round.....a mistake that cost him dearly. I hope that they do a rematch in the near future.

I felt bad for Angulo because he got caught up in the moment after catching Kirkland and wasted so much energy going for glory and the first round stoppage only to be clocked himself. Fair play to both men as it was a War, Kirkland did amazingly well to come back from the KD, to survive the onslaught and then turn it around, whilst Angulo showed the heart of a warrior but paid the price.

I do hope they fight again.
