Disrespecting Floyd Mayweather Jr.

    im not sure i see this level of disrespect by media personalities toward an athlete of floyd's stature.

    in boxing alone, people who were involved in scandals (peds, plasters, etc) didnt get this kind of disrespect from the media.

    i cant fathom how floyd lives his life everyday. everywhere he goes, he gets booed, disparaged, taunted, continuosly being asked about "poochiaooo".

    is floyd mentally this strong, or he is just that scared of facing pac, or scared losing his brand?

    thoughts?

    edit: you can almost feel that disrespecting floyd is fashionable to media personalities.

    Mayweather disrespects himself. You can't respect an athlete who don't respect himself nor the sport he's involved in.

    Floyd wanted to become this personality, the devil, or black sheep. This was his plan and he got it, he should be happy. It pretty much started around or a little before the Corrales fight, I remember him saying he was going to win the fight for "battered women" referring to the impending charges against Diego where Diego actually went to prison for a while for abusing his pregnant wife. Hmmm, I wonder if Floyd is going to now taste that too.

    All the negativity he recieves from the fans, press and other boxing personalities, is not anything which he doesn't deserve.

    Mayweather just needs to keep winning.

    He brings everything on himself, he is a spoilt brat and a sook
    outside the ring. So its no suprise that ppl are lining up to berate him.
    Easy target and good publicity for them.

    Inside the ring, I hope Mayweather keeps winning, I assume he would,
    the guys skills are second to none atm.

    It does somehow seem to work for Floyd in that any publicity for him,
    either good or bad - seems to just suck more ppl into him.

    I think the guys a marketing genius and doesnt even mean to be at times.

    He makes money off hate and disrespect so I'm pretty sure it doesn't bother him...the media doesn't know him like his direct family does and as long as they are good I'm pretty sure that's all that matters to him.
