I don't have a problem with a bland tune up fight. No big deal, but I am not exactly excited about watching it either.

Put me on. Mainly because I'm on the anti-Mayweather/DLH rematch express.

DLH vs Forbes, it doesn't get any more exciting than that.

I know fighting Forbes is crap but what did u all expect? No way he fights anyone even having a chance to beat him such as Margo or Judah that would jeopardize the big payday of PBF. Remember Felix Sturm well they don't want to be in that position again thats for sure. That being said GO FORBES

Forbes also needs to get revenge on Oscar for the GBP robbery during his match against Demetrius Hopkins. I wonder if HBO will play that angle at all if they make a countdown show for it.

Forbes' quality as an opponent is not bad at all for a tune-up. Just ask Demetrius Hopkins or Francisco Bojado how good he is. Pretty solid boxer, 5 years younger than Oscar, and he's got a pretty good name (then again: for a tune-up).

The whole problem here is that HE IS A JUNIOR WELTERWEIGHT!

Oscar De La Hoya's fighting a JWW at 150 where Forbes is absolutely no legitimate fighter even for a tune-up.

Judah is a far better fighter but if Oscar'd pick a Judah type of fighter from LWW that wouldn't be good either.

I would've liked to see Oscar against Judah, and if Judah is too much of a risk, then Chavez Jr. or Gomez. Good names for a tune-up. But a guy from 2 divisions lower...

I even see Oscar taking him lightly so this fight could turn out ugly. This fight is not exciting. The fans don't get excited if Oscar fights a little guy. So Forbes is NO LEGIT TUNE-UP.

    Better names for a tune-up:
    -Luis Collazo
    -Zab Judah
    -Ike Quartey
    -Joel Julio
    -Kassim Ouma

If those are on too high level for DLH he could've chosen:
    -Alfonso Gomez (it's the DLH-Gatti of 2008 )
    -David Estrada
    -Paul Spadafora
    -Hatton (Matthew of course )
    -Oscar Diaz
    -Alex Bunema
