Yes. I saw that just the other night when I was at the hospice when it ended. Now it is about continuing to support the grieving friends in what small way that I can.
May God be with the Frazier family in this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you Joe! Keep your guard up and keep the faith!
he's too young and doesn't deserve to go out like this. Liver Cancer is a very bad disease. The best that can be said is that when he goes, he will have left something memorable behind.
Apparently his youngest son wants to visit but doesn't know where his dad is, sounds like hes being excluded http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?p=11178046&posted=1#post11178046
Joe Frazier was a big part of my childhood. He gave my Dad a job, and I got to spend precious time learning the sport around him. I'm devastated. God bless you, Joe. Good ****ing luck.
sorry to hear about your father Sal. I would have paid my condolences last year had I known. I manage a cancer practice in Illinois for my stepfather who is an oncologist. What you say about hospice is spot on. Many of our patients opt to take that route once all treatments have failed and their quality of life has diminished to virtually just breathing. Once they have entered the arrangement the end usually comes anywhere within a matter of days to a few months. The good news is that there are a lot of drugs that ease the pain and discomfort in the last days of a person's life. If this was God's intended route for Joe Frazier then let his passing be a painless and peaceful one..
If I remember right, you're in Washington. I'm on the opposite coast and hospice is really good here too. You're right -when they are involved it means the end is near, but they have a high standard of professionalism with a personal touch. I am sorry about your father, Sal.
