Sorry, when I watched it live I gave it to Froch.

Dude, there is no bias here, I HATE Froch and Johnson is one of my all time favs. Just telling it like it is.

Bute fans stress such specific things to somehow make it seem like their guy should get more respect. In the end, who really gives a **** if Glen won round 8 against Froch, he still lost 8 rounds then (and most didn't give Glen the first 3 like I did).

Because I've posted so much here in the past 10 minutes, I must confess that I dug up my scorecard and I did score the 8th round even.

I can't remember. Only watched the fight once. I remember him winning about four or five rounds. Not that it matters, of course. Because when comparing Froch's and Bute's fight against Johnson, you can't accurately determine which was the better performance by looking only at the number of rounds won/lost. You need to also take into consideration how dominant/competitive those rounds were. And when you do that, you'll find that Bute's performance was far better than Froch's.

It's just important for people to stick to either truth or facts. So much distorted **** has been put out there in regards to Bute since the Andrade I fight....

Bottom line, certain people willfully spread bull****, then it's normal for fans to correct it. Fans of every fighter do it..

Bute probably gets more hate than any other non superstar fighters out there. Kinda weird...

Looked at it again just to be sure and it's a Johnson round, maybe not as dominant that I remember, but its still a Johnson round.

I think you put too much even round from what I read from you just on this thread.

    Agree with you 100%

Their was a guy yesterday trying to say that Bute had loaded gloves... and then they ask why Bute's fans are fighting on the forum for him...

When he said Margarito's hand speed is comparable to Bute's....his trolling effort permanently fell apart....

Agreed. I made an ass out of myself in a thread about Bute/Andrade 1 just a couple of weeks back because I hadn't watched it in years and thought the fight had :24 seconds, not :04 left when he went down.

It made me realize that more thought and less emotion are a good thing.

I understand the "Bute's performance was better" argument, but whether age, injury, or whatever reason Johnson's performance was far better against Froch. Bute didntmake him sluggish, hesitant, and lethargic from the 1st round. If he had broken him down and imposed his will, fine, but that's not entirely accurate as Johnson looked off from the opening bell. IMO.

"Johnson looked off" because Bute was puting him on the back pedal from round 1. This was a Bute fight all along, and all Johnson was left to do is literally stay in the fight and survive.

He was put off for crying out loud, this is why it's called Sweet Science. Johnson knew Bute's power and weaknesses from sparring so better believe he knew what he was doing, but Bute got everything covered. Glen could've jumped all over him - pressure troubled Lucian in Andrade 1 - but since then he sparked fighters coming in - incl. Andrade - so Johnson had to take care about his health too.

Of Pavlik, Johnson and Kessler, Glen clearly had the most troublesome style for Bute, that's why this domination, outperforming Froch, Cloud, Dawson and Tarver, an extraordinary achievement, and forget the age. Glen Johnson at this age hurt and almost beat Froch, and outperformed Andre Ward by stopping Allan Green. Bute toyed whit THAT fighter.

You are missing the point, because you're looking at the effect and not the cause. Glenn Johnson didn't hit him with power shots because Bute's movement was outstanting thourghout the entire match, surely not because he was old and not because he was out of shape. That's child tales. I really don't know if Bute is the best in the division or not. Maybe I'm not a boxing specialist like most of the guys who post here, but I - like all guys who like sport in general, have eyes, and when I look at Bute I see a very, very gifted boxer, one who fights not only for money, but for the sport itself, for the crowd - and what a crowd that is. He moved forward with Johnson and exposed himself, even tough the result of the match was pretty obvies after the first six rounds. He wasn't obligated to do that, he did it because 16.000 fans payed some serious money too see a serious, enjoyable, event.

For me, that's character and devotion. He has the physical abilities to be great - there is no doubt about that in my mind, and also, in the same time, respects both the sport as a competition and the audience as sportfans. I don't know why he's so hated, and I probably don't even want to know. I say the problem is with you, not with him. I've noticed it has been said numerous times here that Bute ducked opponents when there is no proof to sustain that afirmation.

Saying Bute is a fraud, a joke, it's like saying chocolate isn't good just because you are alergic to it and you can't taste it. It's your problem, don't make it universal. I'm a jurnalist in my country and I know that nowadays, the social tendency is to spread as many negative rumors you can to discreditate somebody you dislike. Probably, that's where Lucian falls short. He really doesn't talk to much, he hasn't got a big mouth. He is rather quiet, like a pupil who does his homeworks day after day. The problem is that we live in an imperfect society, where the one who talks more gets the credit, regardless if he is actually making sense or not.

I salute you, true boxing fans, because you know to apreciate the sheer beauty of a fighter, rather than than looking for futile explanations to suit your point of view. Maybe i'm out of my league here, but I really don't understant how someone cand hate such talented sportmans as Lucian Bute, or any other individual for that matter. For what? I supose that's the difference between those who like boxers and those who like boxing.

Writtten by a sports lover, just like you guys.

Strange idea to bring that to prove your post. First, Bute outclassed Johnson from the start. Bute didn't need the help of time to beat him, like Froch did. Second, Johnson didn't give any problems to Bute. That's a second inaccurate prediction for Froch.

We have not heard about Froch til the fight. I expect him to make me laugh with one of his delusional statements.
