We should wait and see. Now that the S6 tournament is close to an end, the next logic fight should be S6 Winner vs Bute. I'd like to see match + rematch so that there can be no foul play tactics to influence the outcome of this fight. Plus, we'll get a clearer picture on who's what.

I disagree. As I've noted before, I think Froch's power AND speed are underrated, because of his odd style & long arms. Those looping shots seem to take a while to reach their target, and so you assume that are not powerful. However, they are traveling a greater distance than a straight punch, and so are actually moving quite fast. Speed + mass + power.

Watch a few Froch fights, and pay attention to his opponents' reactions when they get hit. The man has power. Sneaky power.

Bute, on the other hand, has sloooow hands. I don't understand how he's ever KO'd anyone. Well maybe all them 'cans had cherry-picked weak chins. (except for Johnson, of course.)

Froch also has a fairly long reach @ 75" which gives him leverage. Compare that to Bute's @ 72" & Ward @ 73". That's significant for power, not just tactics.

So once again Jeffjoiner cant debate any of the solid facts I produced.

You may recall that I used to criticize Lucian for being a one-handed fighter. He used his right hand better and more in the Magee fight, and in the Johnson fight he used both hands quite well. My criticism is no longer valid.

The right hook is getting better every fight , Larouche ask a couples of times during the fight to follow the hook with the uppercut but Bute didn't do it often , maybe it was because he had his hand hurt ?

I'm a Bute fan, and have been for a few years. He's one of my favorites, and I try to see all his fights.

The Road Warrior is also one of my favorites. I try to watch all his fights too.

I have no bias one way or the other.

However, I would not call the Johnson fight a "masterful" performance for Bute. For some reason Jonson wouldn't let his right hand go very much. When he did he was landing. At one point in the middle rounds it looked like Johnson could land the right almost at will.

Glen took a stupid approach to the fight, and that kept us from seeing the kind of fight we should have seen. Ninety percent of the fight looked like a sparring preparation warm up!
