No no .... I am not a fan by any means (i find him incredibly boring to watch) but he is a very fast heavyweight (especially considering his height and weight). David Haye is a very fast heavyweight but Wladimir matched his punch and foot-speed. Speed is not a weakness of Wlad's.
If he was slow enough to be labelled so, I don't think one man with Hayes agility and explosiveness would've lost straight up to him in a tactical battle. But then again, timing neutralizes speed, but Wladimir not only had to time Haye, but he had to be rather quick on his feet to do so aswell.
Compared to the absolute trash they fight, yes. Compared to top heavies just a decade ago...no. They are slow.
Above average for his size, most certainly. But comparing to a prime Ali, he wouldn't look so fast. But to be clear, I would label him as above average when it comes to speed.
I agree with this. Lennox is the more comfortable fighter. Wladimir is the greater athlete than his brother Vitali too, but that doesn't make him a greater fighter. :good
Wlad just fights Tomato cans. He knows he can't take a punch. Watch how Wlad avoids Helenius at all cost. He will get Vitali to fight Helenius insted. I like Vitali but he better stay away from Helenius unless he wants his face sliced up again.
