no bollocks to that if someone was racist to me non-stop especially after giving them money and putting my kids lives in danger id still hold a grudge. I met him in May and he still hates him and cant blame it at all and no that hasnt affected his health he had cancer that was it.

Following the death of Joe Frazier, Mike Costello will take a journey back to the 1970s, when heavyweight boxing ruled the sporting planet, for a boxing special on BBC Radio 5 live Sport on Wednesday. You can listen to 'When They Were Kings' from 2130 GMT.

If it's Costello it should be good.

that type of hatred eats away at people.i think joe resented the fact that most people considered ali to be the greatest while he considered himself to be better than ali.ANYWAY,looking at those videos joe was maybe the most exciting heavyweight ever.imagine the stir he would create now in a heavyweight division bereft of talent and personality.

An excellent fighter, arguably one of the 15 best Heavyweights in the Queensberry Rules era.

But more than that, he was an icon of the sport, who generally carried himself with dignity befitting one of the ten biggest names in the mainstream view of the sport.

Smokin' Joe's son asked me to pass this message on:

"I would like to say thank you all for the support & love. It really does help with the pain I am going through. If you would like to reach me or contact me on twitter @frazierflave."

If anybody has any pictures of themselves with Smokin' Joe, it may be worth sending them over to his son, he said he was making some sort of slideshow.
