Kirkland vs Angulo was a great first round. After that it was a whooping. No way was that fight of the year imo.

The poll results show that hbo still rules the roost. Ortiz berto fizzled out yet those 2 fights lead the poll.

Marquez vs Concepion 1 for me. Still haven't seen that Japanese fight from the other week though

Mitchell-Murray deserves a shout, not FOTY but still a proper war

I've heard from a lot of people that the Pornsawan-Yagashi fight blows all of these out of the water, but I have yet to watch it myself. The whole fight is up on Youtube though.

Tree way tie between Arce-Vazquez jr, Marquez-Concepcion, and Rios-Acosta

But seeing Arce capture his "fourth" title by taking it from a younger, bigger, stronger undefeated fighter in a all out war seals the deal for me, so i voted for that fight. :happy

Just take a look at all the FOTY nominees....Mexicans/Mexi-americans keeping the sport alive!!

    I'd say top 5, clearly below Marquez-Concepcion I though.

Chris John-Daud Yordan should probably be on this list as well.

Most people haven't seen it. That has to be why so many are suggesting such ludicrous things as Ortiz-Berto or DeMarco-Linares as #1.

Ortiz-Bertoe could have been FOTY if the fight ended at round 6...After that round the fight started to drag on due to Bertoe's constant hugging.

Salido-Lopez was the fight of that night :deal
