Ishida Wants Kirkland Rematch...

Now that Kirkland is back with Anne Wolfe I think he would beat Ishida in a rematch... a rematch needs to happen IMO... and Khan needs to give Prescott a rematch too before he moves to 147.

 

Kirkland rights the wrong and then moves on to bigger n better fights....

I will give credit to Kirkland if he takes this rematch though, regardless of result.

 

Kirkland has long spoke of a rematch. I'm sure he'd want one with Wolfe back in his corner. I believe kirklands loss was a Terry Norris, Simon Brown kind of situation.

 

Here's an idea. Let Ishida work his way back to a rematch. Let him garner some big wins. Challenging a guy you already KO'd is just desperate. What? can't beat anyone else? Otherwise he's just Prescott holding out fore the "Khan sweepstakes" again.

 

The fight would have to be at 154, I believe Kirkland said he is settling down at 154.

This is a Prescott/Khan scenario. Kirkland is hot right now so they'll be trying to get bigger fights and an Ishida rematch ain't one of them. Can't see HBO forcing his hand either.

 

Ishida would beat Kirkland again, Angulo should've had Kirkland out in the first as well, but he fought like a novice and he paid the price.
Kirkland is definitely a fun fighter to watch but he is nowhere near the fighter many on here want him to be.

 

The difference is that Kirkland is a man with pride. He doesn't need Ishida to do anything else. He has that TKO win in one round against him and Kirkland will always be willing to avenge it.

 

:deal And if Kirkland pursues it, that's fine (I think he will). But if all Ishida is going to do is make noise about a rematch, he should make the noise in the ring.
